Gold Systems Announces Implementation Services for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2
Gold Systems Brings Speech Application Expertise to Customers Seeking Productivity and Cost Advantages with Unified Communications
BOULDER, COLO. - Feb. 3, 2009 - Gold Systems, a developer of voice-powered software applications for Global 1000 companies, today announced that it is now providing implementation services for the unified communications capabilities of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2 (R2) and voice applications which leverage its built-in speech technologies.
The new release brings the further benefits of productivity increases and cost savings that were introduced with the first version of Office Communications Server 2007. It is part of Microsoft unified communications technologies, which bridge the divide between computers and telephones, delivering voice software that does more than a network PBX, at much less cost.
Gold Systems provides software development and implementation services to help companies utilize the features of Microsoft unified communications technologies. Gold Systems integrates Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and other Microsoft software with customers’ telephony infrastructure, including PBXs, VoIP services, and mobile devices. This combination helps companies save money and reduce administrative burdens by consolidating hardware and software. The solution also helps companies improve productivity by providing on-site and mobile employees with integrated, easy-to-use messaging and anywhere access.
“Gold Systems’ customers come to us for our expertise in deploying unified communications solutions quickly and trouble free,” said Terry Gold, president and CEO of Gold Systems. “We have been using Office Communications Server 2007 R2 in-house for several months, and have demonstrated the benefits of the new offering in significantly driving down our operating costs - while achieving breakthrough productivity advantages. We feel confident that Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will allow us to add tremendous value to our customers with new unified communications tools.”
Office Communications Server 2007 R2 also includes interactive voice response (IVR) technology that serves as a built-in platform for speech-driven applications. Gold Systems offers a suite of products, designed to enhance security and productivity, as well as expertise in developing custom contact center and self-service solutions which work with the platform. Gold Systems has designed and built the speech-enabled applications powering Microsoft’s primary customer service solution at 1-800-MICROSOFT using Office Communications Server 2007, as well as similar solutions for other customers.
“The combination of Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2 and Gold Systems’ voice self-service applications provides a powerful new way for people to collaborate and offers customers a rich and integrated communications experience,” said Eric Swift, senior director of the Microsoft Unified Communications Group at Microsoft Corp. “Gold Systems is adding significant value to enterprise communications and enabling businesses to better connect people, information and business processes.”
As a member of the Microsoft Unified Communications Voice Partner Program, Gold Systems will continue to help customers deploy solutions based on Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and other Microsoft unified communications technologies.
