Terry Gold, Founder, CEO, and President

Terry Gold is the co-founder, CEO and President of Gold Systems, an independent software development company that creates self-service solutions powered by voice.

Terry came to Colorado in 1985 and worked as a contract software developer with AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he worked on AT&T’s first computer telephony product, the ISDN Gateway which facilitated the ‘screen pop’ concept, now known as Computer Telephony Integration (CTI). He has over twenty years' experience in business and software and serves on the Board of advisors for several local technology companies. He was a founding member of the Colorado chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization and is a former member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. In 2000 he and his co-founder were recognized with the “Esprit Entrepreneur of Distinction” award, and in 2003 Terry was recognized as a finalist at the Rocky Mountain Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

Gold Systems was named to the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in 1998. The company has also been named to the Deloitte & Touche Colorado Fast 50 seven times.

 

Craig Lamborn, Chief Financial Officer

Craig Lamborn brings more than 25 years of industry experience in both private and public companies. Before joining Gold Systems he was Sr. VP and CFO of Cornice, Inc. where he was responsible for finance, accounting, legal, facilities, administration and information technology. Prior to that he was at First Data Corporation, as Sr. VP and CFO of its wholly owned subsidiary, First Data Resources. Previously, Craig worked as CFO at Interelate, Exabyte Corporation and Kentek Information Systems. He also held management titles at McData and Union Pacific.

His work experience includes a wide range of accounting and finance related activities, including SEC filings of S-1s, 10Ks, 10Qs and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance work. In addition, Craig has participated in several financing transactions including private equity offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. Craig is a CPA and holds a B.A. in Accounting from Boise State University.

  

Richard Stansbury, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Stansbury’s thirty-year technology experience has been focused in both Sales and Operations.  He brings deep experience with strategic business development for complex, competitive solutions in both professional services and software channels.  Rich has led sales teams and branch operations in Denver and Atlanta for BORN Information Services; he was responsible for regional sales in the Southeast for Fujitsu Consulting’s ERP offerings after Fujitsu acquired BORN in 2005.  Most recently, Stansbury led Atlanta’s Racemi, Inc. as CEO.  Racemi offers innovative solutions for a wide range of cloud migration and data center automation use cases. 

Stansbury joined Gold Systems in September after returning with his family to Colorado after 13 years in Atlanta, Georgia.  Rich has a BA from the University of North Carolina and a Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado.

 

Bo Molai, CTO

Bo brings 15 years of experience in the voice communications industry to Gold Systems.  Bo has worked with enterprises to create world class voice based contact center applications and deliver large Microsoft Unified Communications deployments.  In his years in the industry, he served as a Software Engineer for Custom Voice Applications Development, and R&D Engineer creating automated voice based mobile solutions, and a Product Operations Manager for voice based solutions.

Bo's responsibilities at Gold Systems include leading the organization's Microsoft Unified Communications practice, participating in strategic business planning and product planning, fostering a culture of technology innovation, and helping our partners and customers understand what technology trends mean to their businesses.

Kevin Brockman, Vice President of Business Development

Kevin brings over 10 years of experience in the software industry. Prior to joining Gold Systems Kevin worked as a contractor and consultant for a number of software companies in the Colorado area, including start-up companies to larger organizations.  Kevin’s leadership experience includes management roles within firms ranging from managing/running professional services and support departments to being a lead contributor in sales organizations. Kevin has worked with some of the industry’s largest clients in introducing and building voice based solutions for the enterprise.

He has lived and worked in both Europe and Japan. During his 3 years in Japan, Kevin’s primary role was to coach business leaders from various Japanese firms on proper business protocols and negotiation skills for dealing with their U.S. counterparts. Kevin worked with business leaders and executives from companies such as Komatsu, Kubota and Toyota.

Kevin’s focus at Gold Systems as the VP of Business Development is for strategic partnerships and advancement of the company’s current clients while looking for new business development opportunities within the industry.

Kevin has a BA from the University of Colorado and in 2011 completed an Executive MBA from the same University.

Maria Simonton, Director of Engineering

Maria's experience in the voice communications industry began in 1997 as a developer of IVR applications.  Since then, she has taken on many roles in the software engineering process, including Voice User Interface Designer, Technical Lead, Custom Development Manager, and more recently Director of Engineering.  In this role, Maria leads a team of talented and diversely-skilled engineers toward delivering the best customer software and Unified Communications deployments.  Her goal is to facilitate the relationship between the development team and the customer in a way that results in a positive, productive experience for the application end-user.

Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Maria lived in Boulder for 9 years before relocating to the Pacific Northwest.  She lives and works in Bend, Oregon and spends her free time snowboarding, kayaking, running, and camping.

Maria holds a Bachelor's Degree in English and Art History from the University of Scranton.  Maria also holds a Master's Degree in English from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Chris Hummel, Director of Software Services

Chris brings over 16 years of communications software experience to Gold Systems.  Having started as a software developer designing, coding, testing and supporting applications, Chris has experience with the entire software development lifecycle.  Prior to moving into the Director of Software Services role, Chris was a Project Manager assisting with delivery of custom software implementations while also managing the Gold Systems' software developer team.  As Director of Software Services, Chris is responsible for leading Customer Support, Human Factors Designers, Project Managers, and QA Testers through all aspects of the custom software delivery process.

After living in Colorado for 14 years, Chris returned to his Pennsylvania roots a few years ago and works remotely from his home while helping to support east coast customers.  Chris has a BA from Lafayette College and an Associates Certificate in Project Management from Georgetown University.
